Biography

Ledfoot was born in dusty Florida trailerpark in 1958. The son of a travelling boilermaker; Ledfoot spent most of his young life on the road, averaging about two schools a year while he grew up. At the age of 15 he started buidling his musical reputation playing biker bars around Florida and before moving up to New York City in 1976. He played all the underground New York clubs of legend; CBGBs, Max’s Kansas City and Mud club, to name a few.

In 1979 he joined up with the The Rockats and signed a deal with Island Records and toured around USA in the next 5 years. The album came out on Island Records in 1981.
In 1983 he went solo and signed the first two albums to Sire Records then to Geffen Records.

In 1989 he started The Havalinas with Smutty Smiff (Rockats, 13kats) and Chalo Quitana (Cruzados, Bob Dylan, Social Distortion). The band signed to Elektra after a bidding war between the major companies in LA and toured around USA also with support gigs for Bob Dylan, Chris Isaak and Tina Turner among others. The band also made Tim known in Europe as they toured extensively around Europe. In 1993 Tim Scott moved to Norway and the bands only release on Electra became their first album.

In Norway Tim was first signed to Warner Music who released the album ”Deceivers and Believers” in 1994. This album gave Tim heavy radioplay in Norway. In 1996 he did his 7th Album on Waterfall Records, the same year as Bruce Springsteen recorded Tim Scott´s song ”High Hopes” on the Bloodbrothers EP and DVD.

The last three years Tim has developed as a guitarist and his new concept called Ledfoot. Ledfoot is Tim on 12 string guitar and ”stomp” box. The first album from Ledfoot was ”The Devils Songbook” released in 2008.

His latest album “Damned” is just being released around Europe. This brings us Ledfoot in both an acoustic version on 12 string and a band version (released as a double CD for single CD price!)
