We’re mad about our live music here at Trinity and we love nothing more than to put on a band we like or see potential in. In the past the likes of Kate Nash, Scouting For Girls, Reverend & the Makers, Bastille, Kibo, Bombay Bicycle Club, Example and Alabama 3 have all played here on their way to fame.
Payment, Door Charging & Promo
We’re not the kind of venue who will grab all the money from the punters you bring along and then sling you a tenner at the end of the night. We don’t do ‘hires’ like many music venues. 100% of the door takings (minus the soundman) goes to the acts playing or promoters who are organising, all we ask is that you work as hard as us in terms of promoting your gig so our bar will be busy and your pockets full. Create a Facebook event page, get posters/flyers to us to put up in Trinity and tell your mates, family and your dog. Its never been easier to promote a show so please do it with some gusto. We will promote your gig as much as we can but common sense indicates the more people each band brings the better the night for everyone. We work hard to make every show as good as it can be and we expect bands that we book to enter into the spirit of things and do the same.
Please put in provision when door charging that you can allow a carer of anyone with a disability or accessibility issues in free of charge. It is part of our accessibility policy.

Like all venue’s backline ours suffers a little from lack of care from people who have used it previously. It is recommended you bring your own amps, however, below is what is available for you to use. Read descriptions carefully.

Trinity has an in-house upright piano. If you require this state your intention ahead of time so we can get it mic-ed up.
Lighting Rig
Control sequences via a smartphone by connecting to Trinity Artist Wi-Fi and scanning the QR code on the fridge in the backroom. There are several presets available if you don’t want to use the app. Sound techs will more often than not do lighting for you.
Projector
Trinity has a ceiling mounted projector that can be used for visuals & video playback. You will need to bring fairly long cables to connect laptops etc. as it has to loop around the ceiling and back to the ground. We can play DVDs/Blu-ray without connecting to the projector, but please no copyrighted material as we do not have licences for showing films etc.
Program Music & Other Playback
You can stream/cast audio to Upstairs Bar Speaker while on Trinity Artist Wi-Fi. It routes to auxiliary channels 5 & 6 of the mixer. Look for a speaker icon in Spotify to connect. Some music services don’t have an option to connect so it’s best to use Spotify.
There is a playlist playing on the ground floor bar tablet that can be routed upstairs, though this may not always be appropriate for your gig. Eg. If you are doing a metal show you probably don’t want Cmat playing between bands!
Other playback devices can be connected to the auxiliary stage interface or the inputs behind the bar.
Multitrack Recording
We may be able to offer free multitrack recordings of live music, depending on the sound engineer working. Tell the engineer well in advance which acts want recording so that the setup time is factored in. Each act being recorded must nominate someone who will do one of either:- bring appropriate digital storage[2]- or pay the engineer £25 per online transfer.
The Engineer records into Reaper at 48kHz / 24 bit- 16 channels recording for 40mins is just over 5GB- 20 channels recording for 1hr is a just under 10GB [2] Appropriate digital storage:- a USB3 stick formatted in exFAT, not FAT32.- NO USB2sticks/drives- a USB3 or Thunderbolt 2 HDD/SSD, not in NTFS (Windows) format, i.e. the drive is normally used with a Mac- an SD card; only UHS 3 class or higher (≥30MB/s), must also bring a speed matching adapter if the card is micro format.
Load In & Load Out
Trinity Bar opens at 4pm weekdays, sometimes earlier for major sports fixtures (check social media), and 2pm on Saturdays & Sundays. Earlier drop off can be arranged by contacting Chris Perdue – details above.
There is a loading bay on the right side as you face the main entrance (Gayton Road) – no loading rule Mon-Fri between 4pm-7pm- take care not to mount the kerb as the traffic camera will get you. From there, you can load gear through the fire exit after notifying staff, which takes you directly upstairs to the toilets and stage.
Wait for staff first because the door at the top is often locked, and it opens outwards onto you and your gear. Otherwise, a wider staircase next to the downstairs bar takes you to the upstairs bar area and is rarely locked. Do not drop off your gear onto or next to the stage, keep it 1.5m away or more. Don’t stow anything under the stage without the engineer’s permission.
Parking– limited free spaces on and around Lyon Rd- there is a paid car park behind the venue on Lyon Road or there are two car parks at the main shopping centres that open all night. About 5-10 minutes’ walk away. Trinity itself has no parking.
Public Transport
Nearest tube is Harrow on the Hill, Metropolitan line, 5 minutes’ walk to the venue.
Last tube into London is around 12.30am but check this using TFL’s website. It’s worth checking for engineering works at the weekend as this happens every now and again. Whilst we are in the suburbs it is only a 20 minute ride from Baker Street, not the back of beyond as some people would have you believe.
Other nearby options include Harrow & Wealdstone & Kenton, both on the Bakerloo line and Overground, around 20 minutes walk.
The N18 bus runs into town all night, half hourly.
Soundcheck
The engineer arrives around 4pm and typically begins soundcheck from 5:30pm-6pm. Assemble/prep gear offstage while you are the next scheduled soundcheck, before your slot begins. Have a plan going into soundcheck. Soundcheck is not a rehearsal. Don’t noodle during soundcheck. Don’t wait for your band mates, help them. Be on time for soundcheck. Being late holds everything up.
After soundcheck, store your equipment in the back room. Don’t block the mixer rack, the flight case, or mic stand cupboard. Do play Tetris with cases! The engineer will move stuff wherever they like if it is in the way.
ESSENTIAL: send up to date tech riders and/or stage plots at least several days ahead of time.
Earlier soundcheck can be arranged if the engineer is available but factor in the extra cost of extra hours.
Live music curfew is generally 11pm. This can be altered by pre-arrangement so get in touch if you need a later curfew or if you have a ton of bands on the bill.
After the show has ended, Trinity holds club nights so the stage must be packed down promptly in order for us to get DJs set up. So please of course take a breather after performing but we do need you to get your gear off the stage asap. We will help of course.
Backroom
Trinity’s backroom is small and not really a green room as such. There is a fridge in there that you are welcome to turn on to store drinks/food. There are mirrors to do make up etc. Ice is also available. Do not store beers in the ice machine – it’s unhygienic and staff need access at all times.
The backroom is not really a place to hang out, and you’ll likely be in the way of the engineer anyway. If you want to escape the crowd, the downstairs bar is the place to head.
Age Restrictions
Trinity is an over 18s venue and ID may be a provision of entry. If you have a young looking crowd please inform them of such. If you know you have a predominantly young crowd of under 18s you must let us know. There may be a way of doing these shows but it must be prepared in advance. If loads of under 18s turn up unannounced, they will be refused entry, regardless of having a ticket.
Merch
You are welcome to sell Merch at Trinity. We’re not one of those awful places that take a cut. Tell us if you are bringing merch and we will set up a table. We even have some display materials you are welcome to use.
Box Office
We can do advance ticketing for you using our partner site www.wegottickets.com
We just need to know how much you want the ticket price to be. Bands take 100% of box office less the agreed contribution to sound tech/hire or box office staffing.
For on the door sales, mostly bands handle this themselves. We can provide you with wristbands and even a card machine. Note though, that card payments will not be forwarded until we have received the money, normally 4 working days. If you require our staff to run the door then factor in the wages of that person for the shift – normally around £40 for 3 hours.
You are welcome to do your own ticketing through your own preferred platform. Share ticket links with us. Note saleable capacity is 120. If you want guestlist take this off the saleable capacity.
Show Promotion
We can’t emphasise this enough. PROMOTE YOUR SHOW. Trinity is one of those rare remaining things – a grassroots music venue – and must be looked after and cherished at all costs. These great places are closing down all over the country.
We are not aiming to be millionaires but shows must wash their faces. We love putting on live music but just opening the doors on a show costs £200+ before we even sell a beer. We need people to come along and spend some money just so costs are covered, bills are paid and we continue to do what we love. You have a gig because we think you have something great. Go tell everyone that.
You make your money by tickets sold too so it is in everyone’s interest. If you know you are likely to have 3 people attending let us know. It doesn’t rule you out from playing but it means we might look at giving you a support slot instead of a headline.
Also stay to see the other bands. Nothing is worse than a band finishing their set, packing up and going home while another band is playing. It’s just rude. Support each other, let’s build a community around grassroots venues.
We will promote your show as well of course, but you will be the main source of being able to attract people along. Bring the family, bring your dog, bring your friends!
Get us posters/flyers. We can design these for you if you don’t have them for no charge. Please don’t use AI posters – they just look shit! Tag us in all posts – we will reshare. Give us your social media handles too.
The one thing you cannot do to promote your show is flyposting. We just get fined by the local council. Any fines received will be taken off the ticket payout.
